Costume Trials

Named 'Costume Trials', because I drew this mainly to test out the costumes I'd just designed for them.

These are the main characters to the manga I will (hopefully) be making. ^_^
I won't go into too much info yet because I'm still kinda uncertain about it. I know the characters and the basic plot, but I haven't begun working on the story yet. *loser*

From left to right, they are Haruka, Chiaki, Mao, Cora, Reina, and Kotone.

And Cora was the first, I drew her in Algebra II in 11th grade. She looks SO different now. [link]

Haruka's powers are air. Her costume is generally white and the gold trim is there to blend with her skin tone and hair. She's my favorite of the six and she's absolutely hot! XD an creators fall in love with their characters?

Chiaki is ice. The ice coloring didn't really work since I had too much blue in the rest of the costumes anyway. But her powers consist of mainly astral projection and stuff, and for some reason pink just felt right.

Mao is water. She's also a bitch. XD Water = blue. Basic coloring. I really love how she came out. She's more like the river before the waterfall rather than a placid lake.

Cora, the lead character, is earth. Originally she was designed to be lightning, but I changed that at the last minute before I drew her. The earth tones work really well, allowing me to give her rich skin tone and brown eyes. The silver trim is for metal; earth and metal go mostly hand in hand.

Reina, fire. She's the mom of the group. Beautiful, mysterious, and is possibly the most frightening person when she's angry. I had planned on her costume being red and orange. Too cliche. Red and yellow, nice. But She only had two colors which felt really boring to me. So I made her leggings brown (at first), which looked so BAD!I threw in some more red and trimmed is orange, and I think it works pretty well.

Kotone, lightening. I apologize for the pic of her. I usually draw her so much better. I must've had a bad day. She's the older brother character of the group, even though she's a girl. I took some pictures of lightening and used the coloring off of them to chose her colors. Deep purple, light purple and pastel blue worked really well. I ADORE the Hindi culture and I have many songs and videos from Bollywood. I took the pose off of a vid and changed it a bit. I like it. ^_^

The shoes. Yes, they're big. I made it a rule in the game to be able to tell if someone's a newb. All characters below level 10 have huge shoes. This'll will al make since when I start the manga.

I was planning on starting the manga when I get the program Manga Studio Ex. That should give me the balls to begin.
