I never realized it but I was addicted to energy drinks. Not obsessively, but I had two drinks a week for four years. And when I suddenly stopped, my head exploded, basically.

Right after graduation, mom says to me, "Now that you're an adult, I'm not buying anything for your whims. While you live under my roof, I'll provide your necessities. No more energy drinks. If you want them, go get a job and buy them yourself."
I was irritated, but it didn't bother me too much. I didn't have them so often so I didn't think it would faze me.

The Tuesday after graduation, I didn't sleep that night. Wednesday, I started getting some really nasty headaches and still could not sleep. Thursday, I took sleeping pills and slept a little. Didn't sleep all that weekend. I spoke to my step-dad about the headaches (having no idea the cause for them).
He said when he tried to go off coffee, something similar happened and the headaches were the same.

But I didn't really have any money and I couldn't buy any energy drinks, so I figured, "I have an ass-load of tylenol in my room so I'll just fight it off."

A week passed, headaches got worse. I was literally in tears; "Mommy, please!"
Today I asked dad about how long it took him for the headaches to stop. He told me for him, it was a little over a month.

So I dug through my piggy bank and found some money. I biked to the store and had just enough for a four pack of Monster. I am addicted and I'm not going to to anything to stop it. But...
I will drink a little less.
How's one a week sound? XD


On a better note, I got a tv!
My mother, the video game nazi, finally caved and said I could play video game as long as it was not on the big screen tv downstairs.
We took the old tv from the game room (OLD tv, early 90s) and brought it into my room. This thing screams when I turn it on.
I was willing to work with it as long as I could play video games, but there was a problem; I needed the remote. We could not find the remote to this tv and to play video games on it, you had to turn it to 00. But flipping channels would not work, you simply had to have the remote.

So mom and dad went out to look at tvs. They're expensive!
A tv of 19in, smaller than my computer moniter, cost twice as much as my computer moniter! Over $200!
My parents said that theyre put down $200 towards a tv and if I wanted something bigger, I had to pay the difference.

So I did.

Found this pretty 26in and I payed the difference using the money I got from relatives for graduation.

Now I can play video games!

After 18 years of listening to my buddies brag about their video games, "Tales, Tales, Tales!" "Dante's so sexy! I love DMC!" "Lol, Zelda!" ... I can finally play them too! XD *happy dances*
And I'm currently pwning Devil May Cry 3... on easy mode. I couldn't get past the second mission and after I got my ass kicked the game told me "Easy Mode is now available, loser."
...lol fail.

Oh by the way, if anyone has any PS2 games that they don't play anymore, or would like to share the awesomeness of, can I borrow?
I swear they will be taken care of. All I have is two DDR games and the DMC3 I'm borrowing from Kim.
Please spare me some more! <3
